Senior Data Platform Engineer<\/strong><\/p>\n

Remote, United Kingdom<\/p>\n

\u00a390,000 to \u00a3105,000 base salary<\/p>\n

This is an opportunity to join a small, fast\u2011growing team building large\u2011scale data and AI platforms used to drive advanced analytics and high\u2011volume data processing. You will work at the heart of their next\u2011generation data architecture, designing distributed systems that support cutting\u2011edge machine learning workloads at scale.<\/p>\n

The Company<\/strong><\/p>\n

They are a specialist AdTech organisation using advanced data processing and AI to understand consumer behaviour at massive scale. Their platform ingests billions of daily events and supports a suite of data\u2011driven products used by clients for insight, analytics and digital activation. With around ten people in the business and a growing engineering function, they offer a collaborative, authentically driven environment with no bureaucracy and significant ownership from day one.<\/p>\n

The Role<\/strong><\/p>\n

In this Senior Data Platform Engineer position, you will:<\/p>\n

* Build and scale distributed data pipelines capable of handling large, high\u2011throughput workloads.<\/p>\n

* Develop core backend services in either Python or Go and learn the other as needed.<\/p>\n

* Work across big data processing, data warehousing and high\u2011volume SQL\u2011based modelling.<\/p>\n

* Contribute to the architecture underpinning ML and GPU\u2011backed inference workloads.<\/p>\n

* Develop resilient, cost\u2011efficient systems that scale as data volumes grow.<\/p>\n

* Improve the existing platform and help build new tools, pipelines and client\u2011facing features.<\/p>\n

* Own platform reliability, performance and data integrity across the ecosystem.<\/p>\n

Your Skills and Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n

You will need:<\/p>\n

* Strong commercial experience in Python or Go, with the ability to work across both.<\/p>\n

* Proven capability in distributed systems, large\u2011scale data processing, and high\u2011volume data environments.<\/p>\n

* Deep experience with SQL and modern cloud data warehousing.<\/p>\n

* Experience with big data tooling and best practices.<\/p>\n

* The ability to design systems for scale, reliability and cost\u2011efficiency.<\/p>\n

Nice to have skills include AWS, Kubernetes, GCP BigQuery, GPU or Ray experience, and exposure to AdTech or privacy\u2011first data environments.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
