The Role

Your Skills and Experience
* Strong commercial experience using SQL, Excel and a data visualisation tool, with a preference for Power BI.

* Confident stakeholder communicator with the ability to translate technical information clearly.
* Experience working with third‑party data providers or regulatory/market datasets.
* Comfort working autonomously while collaborating across teams.
* Experience with Python is beneficial but not essential.
* Familiarity with insurance or financial services is advantageous but not required.

The Role

This is a newly created position within the central Analytics, Data, and Engineering function, designed to add an extra layer of leadership within the marketing analytics space.

You’ll take full ownership of the marketing analytics function, line-managing one Senior Analyst, and act as the go-to expert for marketing insight and reporting. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders across marketing, commercial, and product to ensure data-driven decision-making, presenting confidently at executive and board level.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading a small analytics team delivering insights to guide marketing targeting, spend, and impact.

  • Owning full-funnel, cross-platform customer analysis (web analytics, attribution partners, CDPs).

  • Improving campaign decision-making through attribution, incrementality, and media mix modelling.

  • Partnering with Data Science to build predictive models (LTV, churn).

  • Owning and refining marketing forecast models for budget and performance planning.

  • Using statistical analysis to optimise testing methodologies and outcomes.

  • Developing best practice, transparent reporting, and actionable insights.

  • Managing stakeholders across the business to improve marketing decisions.

  • Building strong cross-functional relationships to promote a data-driven culture.

  • Working with Data Engineering to manage data requirements and ensure quality deliverables.

Candidate Profile

Background

  • Ideally from gaming, but open to e-commerce, ad-tech, or subscription/dating apps.

  • Must have a strong B2C focus.

Experience

  • Proven track record in marketing analytics.

  • Comfortable leading and mentoring others.

  • Strong stakeholder management and presentation skills.

  • Line management experience (desirable but not essential).

Technical Skills

  • SQL (essential).

  • Power BI / Looker.

  • Data visualisation expertise (Snowflake desirable).

  • Knowledge of attribution, forecasting, incrementality testing, MMM, LTV/churn modelling (advantageous).

The Role

As Research Manager, you will:

  • Act as a strategic partner to brand, marketing and insight teams across multiple key accounts.
  • Lead projects end to end, from brief and proposal through to analysis, storytelling and debrief.
  • Translate complex quantitative data into clear, commercially focused brand and marketing recommendations.
  • Work across brand tracking, brand health, brand equity and segmentation, ensuring outputs drive real decisions.
  • Design and review questionnaires to make sure the right brand and comms questions are being asked.
  • Combine survey data with media, social and search data to build a complete picture of brand performance.
  • Present findings in PowerPoint to insight, marketing and wider commercial teams, often cross-functionally.

Your Skills And Experience

You will be a strong fit if you have:

  • Solid experience in quantitative research focused on brands, ideally within an agency or consultancy environment.
  • Hands-on experience with brand tracking, brand health or brand equity studies, from design through to delivery.
  • Confidence working with data in Excel and using tools such as SPSS or similar for data mining and analysis.
  • Experience writing or refining questionnaires, especially for brand and communications research.
  • A proven ability to build a compelling narrative from data, not just report the numbers.
  • Strong communication skills, comfortable presenting to insight teams and wider marketing or brand stakeholders.
  • Good project and time management, able to balance multiple accounts and deadlines.
